The shelter allows their pets to choose gifts under the tree for Christmas
If you are not already in the spirit of Christmas, here’s something that will undoubtedly make you into the holiday season. The sheltered pets were lucky enough to pick their Christmas gifts under the giant Christmas tree – and their reflexes are very pure, and it will warm your heart.

All gifts came as community donations to the annual ARL-Iowa Tree of Life program – an event that brings food, supplies and pet toys to the shelter for several months in the coming year.
Five dogs and four cats were lucky enough to choose their gifts from a stack of goodies.
Feeler said watching the animal selection process was as fun as watching her enjoy her toys afterwards.
Each animal has a different strategy.
While some absorbed the first ingredient they say, others inhaled somewhat before making a choice. And there was a dog, Boss, that was so enthusiastic about all the attention he received that he didn’t really play with his toy until he returned to the kennel.
