The full video of George Floyd’s death by an American officer

“Basically George died because he needed to breathe. He needed breath of fresh air,” said Benjamin Krump, lawyer for Floyd’s family.

Chauvin was laid off from the Minneapolis Police Department and charged with third-degree and second-degree manslaughter. Three other officers were dismissed but were not charged. Krump said that the first-degree murder charge should be brought to Chauvin.

Floyd’s death sparked protests and riots that began in Minneapolis and spread across the country. On Monday, Mayor of Washington, DC, Muriel Bawser, announced a two-day curfew, starting at 7:00 pm. While the National Guard was deployed in the federal capital under high voltage.
